Fall is here, gone are the long summer evenings, replaced by cool crisp mornings and the wonderful colors of fall. Winter won't be far behind, so I hope you get a chance to get out and enjoy what I think is the best time of year!
Hunting season is open, lots of hunters out hoping to bag that deer or elk to fill the freezer and brag aobut their trophy for the next year, or more. For you that don't hunt, be safe and wear bright colors if out in the woods.
Salmon are still running in some of the area rivers. Smallwood Park in Eatonvilleis a great place to go watch the salmon make their way upstream. NOTE: The Mashell River is CLOSED TO ALL FISHING.
For the competative cyclist, it's cyclcross season! Even if you don't race, it's a great spectator sport. A local series (Seattle area) is the Seattle Cyclocross Series.
